Anne-Lise Mukosa
I am an Assistant Psychologist, currently living and working in South-East London. I have worked in the NHS for over 2 years across inpatient and community Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) teams. My experience includes providing psychological assessments and interventions for children and young people (CYP), and their carers under supervision. I have also delivered training and consultation to professionals supporting CYP with multiple and complex needs, helping to integrate networks and reduce gaps in care.
As a Congolese woman, I am passionate about exploring how institutional and systemic racism contribute to the mental health difficulties experienced by CYP in my community. I am also interested in understanding how these systemic barriers can lead to the misdiagnosis and diagnostic overshadowing of neurodivergent CYP from the global majority. My interests lie in embedding anti-racist practice in my work, including through the provision of culturally informed care to CYP who may find it difficult to trust helping services.
As an Assistant Psychologist working for Little Bird Psychology, I am mainly responsible for the administrative side of the practice but also occasionally participate in the creation of digital content for our practice’s social media pages.
