Sabrina Toubal

I am an experienced Speech and Language Therapist with over five years of supporting children and young people with a wide range of speech, language and communication needs.

I have worked across specialist education, SEMH (social, emotional and mental health), and alternative provision settings, supporting young people with complex and co-occurring needs. My background includes working with neurodivergent young people, including Autistic and ADHD profiles, learning disabilities, social communication differences, developmental language needs, and speaking and non-speaking communication profiles. I am highly skilled in assessing speech, language and communication needs and translating these findings into clear, accessible reports with practical recommendations. My aim is to help parents, carers, schools and other professionals better understand a young person’s communication and identify meaningful ways to support them in everyday life.

I am passionate about neuroaffirming and trauma-informed practice and believe there is no single “right” way to communicate. As a Speech and Language Therapist, I feel privileged to support children and young people to communicate in whatever way works best for them. I strive to create a positive, fun and supportive environment, with a strong focus on building trust and positive relationships. I work closely with parents and carers to provide holistic, individualised support that recognises each young person’s unique strengths, needs and communication style.

I have particular experience supporting young people whose communication needs may sit alongside emotional, behavioural or mental health needs, and understand the importance of looking beyond what we see on the surface. I believe every young person deserves to feel heard, understood and supported to communicate in ways that feel authentic to them.

I am fully registered with the Health and Care Professions Council, which is the governing body for Speech and Language Therapists in the UK. My registration number is SL039293.
